Books by Nakia makes picture books and a feelings check-in for kids. Here is exactly what we keep, and what we never see.
Your child's check-ins stay on your device
When a child taps a feeling, shares it, earns a badge or you type their first name, that is saved only in the browser on that device. It is never sent to Books by Nakia or anyone else. There is no account and no sign-in.
To delete it, open For grown-ups, then Clear this device's check-ins. Clearing your browser's data for this site deletes it too. A backup file you save from the grown-up view stays wherever you keep it.
We don't collect personal information from children
The check-in is made for children to use with a grown-up, and nothing a child does on this site is collected. Our email list is for grown-ups only, and every sign-up asks the person to confirm they are a parent, caregiver or teacher, 18 or older. If you think a child has signed up, contact us and we will delete that address.
The email list, for grown-ups
- What we collect: your email address and which page you signed up on.
- Why: to send you the free feelings chart, and news about new books, songs and printables.
- Where it is kept: with our email service, Kit (ConvertKit), which stores it for us.
- Never sold or shared: we don't sell, rent or give your address to anyone.
- Leaving: every email has an unsubscribe link. You can also ask us to delete your address.
Site visits
Our host, Cloudflare, counts page visits so we know how many people come by. It does not use cookies and does not see your child's check-ins. This site has no advertising trackers.
Some pages play songs or videos stored on this site, and the book pages link to Amazon. When you follow a link to Amazon, its own privacy policy applies there. As an Amazon Associate, Books by Nakia earns from qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you.
